Must-have for Montanta and a dual-sport Nov 12, 2011
By Rob B I got this mount to use the new Montana on a dual-sport motorcycle. Like the Zumo I have on another bike, the Montana with topo maps installed is indispensable for exploring. The mount is rugged and widely adjustable to accomodate a variety of mounting positions and bar sizes. I use the bike schematics to find a suitable place to grab switched power, and tuck the other wiring out of the way in case I want to use other features in the future (like plugging in a headset instead of using Bluetooth). Materials of construction on this mount appear the same as on my older mount, so I expect it to hold up well to the elements and to dust and vibration.

By M. Wright Theres not much to say except it is constructed well. I did drop my unit off my motorcycle the first day because I didn't use the locking screw. Although the screw isn't meant for theft deterrence it is complicating enough to hold away curious would be thieves.The contacts are easy to clean. I have tried the headphone connection and I also tried it with a Bluetooth adapter. It is rugged enough for adventure motorcycling.
